THE PRESS

The press has certainly continued to downplay the Real Estate Market. However is it as bad as they would make out?. Certainly the values have dropped and the Sutherland Shire is no exception. The decline in the market is quite unremarkable – values have fallen by just over 5% when you compare it to the GFC where values fell by 7%. Our office has just sold a waterfront in Lilli Pilli off market for $4 million. Average prices for homes in the Shire range from $950,000 to $1.4 million. Growth of housing values is going to be slower but I don’t believe it’s going to be as gloomy as some are predicting. I believe in mid 2019 we will return to a more positive annual growth. People still need to buy and sell properties as their circumstances dictate. Should you need advice on this or any other real estate matter please call us or drop in to the office for a friendly chat.

That’s it for this week. From the desk of Nonie Ressler
